Learn about the people and culture of Guatemala with this seven-week study abroad program in the Lake Atitlan area.
· Live with an indigenous family
· Work 1:1 with a Spanish language teacher
· Volunteer in a service learning program or agency
· Cost is $3150
· Application deadline extended to March 18
Service learning opportunities include health clinics, nutrition centers for children, boys home, orphanage, women’s weaving cooperatives, natural medicine herb garden, micro-credit agency, senior center, community library, day program for children/adults with handicapping conditions, animal welfare, nature reserve, teaching English and other subjects in public schools, among others.
